Ensure that you use the right type of container for each type of stored item. We offer a variety of storage packing products for your convenience.
Clean, disinfect, and dry any equipment, appliances, and other stored items.
Stack any boxes, equipment, and large items safely and carefully. Try to keep heavier items down low and lighter items higher up.
Store electrical equipment carefully in dry storage containers.
Wipe down and dry any items that may be damp or have been exposed to dampness during the move to prevent decay or corrosion and rust.
Use newspaper or bubble wrap to protect any fragile items.
Pack all documents, files and books flat.
Disassemble any furniture which comes apart easily to assist in more compact storage.

At Henday Heated Storage, we endeavor to help our customers in any way we can. The facility has 24-hour video surveillance and individual access control. We take pride in offering secure, clean and reliable storage solutions for residents in the Edmonton area.
The size of the unit you will need depends on a number of factors, including the size of your furniture, the number of boxes you have, and whether your items can be stacked or not. If you are going to need regular access to some or all of your items, you should rent a unit that makes it convenient to access your items. It may be helpful to rent multiple smaller units rather than one large unit to have more items “near the door”. We would be happy to help you choose the appropriate size option for your specific needs.
Although a rental contract is necessary, it is not a long term commitment. You simply pay for exactly what you need and can rent on a month to month basis. However, we do offer some incentives for longer term contracts such as a one year stay. Talk to our staff for details.
With individual access control, you will be able to access the facility from 5am-9pm every day. If you would like to view the facility and storage spaces before you make a rental decision, simply come during our open office hours to meet with a helpful team member for a free tour and quotation.
